Start attempting CAT mocks once you complete 50% of the syllabus. Do not wait for all your syllabus to be covered. Full syllabus would never happen. In english section there is not concept of full syllabus. Just read some basic book strategies and you would get majority of the things.
Similarly for LRDI if you finish your basic material, still you would not imporve much. So better just see every topic by yourself for basic understanding and you would be able to apply that in LRDI section of mocks.
For quant, you would not be able to do all questions even if you know them all how to solve. So don’t worry, start giving mocks even when you do not know much in quants. Doing only those topic questions which you have covered would still lend you good score.
Do not take mocks repeatedly without analyzing. Analyze the given mock then only give another.

A piece of advice.

Learn from mocks

Do not get demotivated by difficult questions in CAT mocks. The level of difficulty in mocks is more than actual exam. So, you would score more in that. They are just trying to present different scenarios of exam. If you digest them you would be at advantage in real exam.

Ideal strategy for attempting each section.

VARC

Spend initial 3-4 minutes checking the pattern and questions which you should do. Note the numbers in your rough sheet. Mark the passage which you find yourself familiar with. Although for this section you can not leave much questions still you can leave at most 1 passage. This is because parajumbles and other TITA questions are hard to crack and 80% chances are there of getting them wrong. You can still find 4 sentence parajumble and odd one out. These are easy to attempt. You can attempt all RC first or can do VA for different taste. But remember, you should have read all the questions and have attempted easy ones in the begining.

LRDI

Spend 5 minutes to read all sets. Then find 3 sets which you find easy. Find other sets as moderate or difficult. Try easy sets first. If in case you have spent 10 minutes and you are not able to find anything relevant, leave that set. Even if you attempt 3 sets(12 questions fully correct) you would score 36 and that's around 95 percentile in real exam. So it is just finding the easy set and doing it. In every exam 3 sets are easy, mainly. If you attempt even 1 moderate set your percentile may reach upto 98-99. No need to do very difficult set until you are getting >98 percentile in this section.

Quants

Start from first question. Spend 5-20 seconds to check if you can do that. If in doubt leave it. Just attempt very easy questions first which you think, can be done very easily in 1-2 minutes. Do all these questions in 30-40 minutes. Then, do that questions which you find somewhat difficult but you can do that. If still you have time, attempt all other questions because this is basic 10th class maths, you may try.
