Hospitals have always been one of the biggest employers of nutritionists and dieticians. They are also hired in health clubs, nursing care facilities, for catering in hotels, for teaching in colleges, research labs of food manufacturers, and also in various private and government health departments. Spas, airlines, gymnasiums are other fields where a nutritionist is highly sought after. Catering is another major field where dietetics and nutrition professionals are hired. They are hired to supervise, plan, nutritious and well-balanced meals. These meals are for colleges, factories or office cafeterias, etc.

Several organizations, factories, companies hire these professionals for making a healthy menu for their cafeteria. Spas also hire dieticians to use them for designing healthy and less-calorie food planning for their customers. A career in research is available in universities, specialist institutions, food product manufacturing companies and hospitals. In addition, nutrition and dietetics people also work for social welfare. For instance, they work in places mainly public health departments run by government, which helps in improving the health of the public. They can also work as consultants.




Salary


As a fresher, you can get a salary in the range of 15000- 25000 per month. This salary increases with experience. Dieticians are also required in big organizations. Therefore, there is no salary bar.
